Determine the speed of a spinning fan blade. Make a vibrating string appear at rest. Conclusively show interference patterns in a ripple tank. These experiments and more are possible using this durable and affordable hand-held stroboscope. Use the coarse and fine adjustment knobs to accurately “dial in” a flash rate from 100 ±0.2 to 10000 ±6 flashes per minute. Fast enough to “stop” a fan blade, and exact enough to measure the blade's speed to less than 0.2% error. The four-digit LED display is easy to read when performing experiments. Xenon flashlamp can operate continuously for 5-30 minutes, depending on the flash rate.
