Why does grass grow in one area and not another? Use this hands-on activity to introduce students to the scientific method and the effects of environmental stimuli. In this activity, seeds will be planted in two different environments and the results of growth compared. Following the rules of the scientific method, students will define the problem, make observations, develop a hypothesis, design and conduct an experiment, analyze data and draw a conclusion. 

Complete for 30 students working in pairs.
