Investigating Gravity - Super Value Laboratory Kit
Product Description

By: The Flinn Staff

Students investigate four principles of gravity in one complete kit! Four hands-on lab activities allow students to study the motion of a pendulum, determine the center of gravity of irregular objects, measure the acceleration due to gravity using an Atwood's machine, and build a boat to explore the anti-gravity force known as buoyancy. Once students complete one activity, they move on to the next lab station to investigate a different principle associated with gravity. Each activity requires approximately 15 minutes. All the materials are reusable—truly a great value! Detailed student instructions and Teacher Notes are provided. Standard laboratory equipment, such as support stands, clamps, graduated cylinders, and beakers, are required but not included. A stopwatch and two 200-g hooked masses are also required for the Atwood's machine.

Super Value Kit is complete for 9 student groups. All materials are reusable and kit includes more than enough fishing line.
