Recreate and experience the classic, interrelated life cycles of lynx and hares by performing this entertaining simulation! Students will be captivated as they simulate and tally the ever-changing numbers of lynx and hares in a given area. The activity allows students to see what happens when an area becomes over-populated, or when a food source becomes limited. The life cycles of twenty generations of lynx and hares will be observed and graphed for further study to identify trends in the population growth. Kit includes with five decks of Lynx Eats the Hare cards, detailed instructions, student worksheets to analyze the results and complete teacher notes. Enough for five groups of six students playing at the same time. A replacement deck is also available.
