Study and observe the complete life cycle of a flowering plant—from seed to sprouting seed—in just 42 to 49 days! Several complete generations can be raised during the school year allowing for manipulative and observational studies that would be otherwise impossible. Study topics might include: plant anatomy, plant growth and reproduction, pollination, plant physiology and growth factors, nutrients and fertilizers, light requirements and photoperiods, and plant genetics. Seeds typically germinate in 3–5 days. Life cycle duration assumes proper growth conditions and 18–24 hours of light per day.
