EARTH FORCES
Landform Model Set, Hexagonal
Each of the eight landform pieces included represents one type of terrain—coastal plain, canyon, fault block mountains, folded moun- tains, coastline, glaciers and a two-piece volcano. The pieces fit together to make a hexagon-shaped model that may be viewed on a table or mounted on a wall. The model details 139 landscape features—each is numbered, corresponds to a key in the study guide and may be used for testing purposes. AP5120 I $311.20
In this activity-stations lab, students explore what causes earthquakes and why they
are unpredictable and investigate factors that impact seismic activity. Four mini-lab stations are self-contained activities focus- ing on modeling faults, elastic rebound, seismic waves and resonance and earth- quake damage. Includes Teacher Notes, worksheets and all necessary materials. Complete for eight student groups.

Exploring Earthquakes—
Landform Model Set, Deluxe
Deluxe model set includes eight sections
that represent different types of terrain— submergence coastline, volcanism, fault block mountains, alpine glaciation, dome moun- tains, continental glaciation, folded mountains and coastal plain regions—that together
form an 8-foot landscape with 156 numbered features described in a 35-page study guide. Each measures 141⁄2" L x 12" W x 21⁄2" H. AP5119 I $375.00
Activity-Stations Kit
Seismograph Model
Teach your students how earthquake tremors are measured—without an earthquake! This is a simple yet innovative seismograph model that will shake, rattle and roll your laboratory. Explain the similarities of the model to an actual recording apparatus of a seismograph, locate the epicenter and determine magni- tude. Included is a teacher manual with easy setup instructions and lessons.
AP5122 I $38.50
Landform Demonstration Kit
Get students involved in constructing models to visualize Earth forces. Bend, arch and fold flexible colored foam strips to illustrate anticline, syncline and hogback. Demonstrate strike-slip, normal and reverse faults, graben and horst formations and dip and strike with cardboard rock formations and even simulate a nonflammable volcano eruption and lava flow. Also includes a watertight demonstration tray and illustrated study guide.
AP5124 I $71.75
