     Visualizing Cells Poster
The complex architecture of a cell membrane, golgi apparatus, nucleus, nuclear pores, endoplasmic reticulum, chloroplasts and mitochondria are graphically depicted in an easy-to-see, easy-to-understand format. Detailed illustrations and photography are perfect for instructing your class about the differences and similarities of bacteria, animal and plant cells. Size: 23" W × 35" H.
Plasma Membrane Model
Bring the fluid mosaic membrane out of textbooks and into the classroom with this model. Students view molecular structure of the phospholipid molecules and membrane structure as a whole. Rock the model back and forth to demonstrate the membrane’s fluid nature. Model includes a membrane protein that can be moved with a magnet to represent different membrane proteins and show how the membrane structure is not disrupted by the protein motion.

Cell Membrane Permeability— Student Laboratory Kit
Study of the permeability of yeast cells
and the cell membrane function with Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Using an indi- cator, students observe substances the cell membrane lets in to discover the vital role
it plays in regulating cell activity through active versus passive transport. Includes student handouts, complete teacher notes and all required chemicals and consumables. Complete for 30 students working in pairs. Super Value Kit is complete for 5 classes of 30 students working in pairs.

Make Your Own Cell—Student Laboratory Kit
Students design their own cells, gather internal cell structure materials and use the Flinn CellgelTM polymer to mold their own unique 3-D models of cells. The easy melt-and-pour polymer sets up as a “permanent” clear gelatin that doesn’t mold and can be stored for years.

Classifying Living Things
Students view a set of illustrated cards and use simple dichotomous keys to determine the appropriate kingdom and phylum for each individual organism. In the process
of classifying the organisms, students will develop an understanding of each individu- al’s role in an ecosystem.
