Ceramic Ring Magnets
Defying gravity? That’s what these magnets appear to be doing as they climb up
a pencil. What happens if you turn the magnets over? What does the magnetic field of a ring magnet look like—can you map it? These magnets will add a new dimension to your magnet studies. Magnets 38 mm in diameter, 8 mm thick with center hole. Two magnets per set.
AP4654 I $4.15
Neodymium Magnet
Unbelievably strong magnet! Watch your fingers if you bring two of them together! These ceramic magnets are a perfect exam- ple of how technology is producing new materials with space-age properties. These crystalline, ceramic cobalt-neodymium magnets retain their magnetic strength much longer than normal soft metal magnets and emit their strength to other materials easily. Your students will be totally impressed with the strength of this magnet. 12 mm in diameter.
AP5666 I $11.95
Steel Bar Magnets, Pair
Two 6" steel bar magnets with North and South poles permanently inscribed. Keepers included with painted. Available painted red on the north poles or unpainted.

Magnet Kit
The perfect magnet set for schools on a tight budget. Perform numerous demon- strations using a ring, bar or horseshoe magnet to present the important prop- erties of magnetism to your students. Use the iron filings provided to reveal the invisible magnetic field lines surrounding the magnets and illustrate the magnetic strengths of different magnets. Includes a 26-page activity manual.
AP6710 I $32.90
Magnet Wire
High-quality enameled copper wire
neatly packaged on 125-foot spools. Nonconductive, thin enamel coat allows for tightly wrapped coils. Perfect for winding electric motors, transformers, solenoids or electromagnets. 22 gauge, maximum volt- age 100 V DC.
AP6204 I $6.85
Magnetizer
A flip of the switch produces a magnetic field that completely magnetizes soft steel and iron materials. The unit has two 2.5 cm2 holes, one polarized North and the other South. The holes are large enough to accept most bar or horseshoe magnets. The unit uses regular 115 V, 50/60 Hz power and comes with complete operating instructions. Three magnet keepers are provided for completing contact points for magnetizing uniquely shaped magnets.
