 Flinn Chemicals and Safety Management
When you buy a Flinn chemical, you get more than just get a bottle. You get access to a suite of safety products and resources, including Flinn chemical labels, SDS, personal protective equipment, storage and cloud-based inventory solutions, safety reference materials and safety courses. Used together these can form the foundation of a safer chem- istry curriculum. And remember that you also get access to Flinn’s team of scientists—who are always ready and eager to support you!
Storage and Inventory
• ChemventoryTM is a cloud- based solution that can be shared by laboratory managers and full-time and adjunct faculty.
• Flinn storage codes appear on all chemical labels and can be used to segregate chemicals based on reactivity.
Safety Reference Material
• The Flinn catalog and website contain comprehensive infor- mation on toxicology, acid safety, flammable liquid safety, chemical inventory and storage, greening the laboratory, and many other topics that you can use to build a solid chemical hygiene plan, and incorporate into your lectures.
Safety Data Sheets
• Flinn SDS are written to convey important safety information quickly and are GHS-compliant.
                       •
SciMatCo® chemi-
cal storage cabinets are superior to metal cabinets
in all aspects, and offer extreme protection against fires.

Undergraduate Laboratory Safety— Modules and Courses
• Monthly “notes” on ACS-recommended safety topics such as disposal and hazard identification. These may be posted to a learning management site such as Blackboard or Moodle for easy distribution to your students.
• Undergraduate laboratory safety contracts for students.
• Online Laboratory Safety Course for Undergraduates— ACS-aligned training for the undergraduate chemistry curriculum.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Flinn offers a comprehensive line of PPE, including gloves, goggles, and lab coats.
Flinn Chemical Labels
• All Flinn labels are GHS compliant and meant to convey important hazard information quickly, to inex- perienced and experienced users.
• Disposal codes on labels refer to catalog reference manual and remediation processes.
• Flinn chemicals and disposal codes can be used to introduce students to the importance of responsible chemical disposal and hygiene.
