  Power Supplies, continued
Power Supply, Low Voltage, DC
A highquality fourinone DC power supply at a low price. This very versatile DC power supply offers fourway variable regulated power with overload protection. Each of the four outputs from this power supply are precisely held at specific voltage levels and are protected from overload, shorts and excessive current demand. Perfect for driv ing motors, digital and analog circuitry, lightbulbs, plus much more. Qualitative analysis of V=IR can be obtained using simple calibration methods for analog meters.
Outputs:
• 12 volts DC at 1 amp
• 0–20 volts DC at 2 amps • 5 volts DC at 3 amps
Power Supply, Dual Output, Low Voltage, DC
Two independent, fully regulated outputs allow two student groups to use the same power supply. Each output’s voltage can be continuously varied between 0 and 20 volts with a current of up to 2 amps. Both adjustable outputs have an easytoread digital meter that displays the current and voltage readings. Once set, the voltage and current will be precisely held. A single 5volt at 2amp regulated output is also built in—great for electrolysis demonstrations. For highvoltage needs, the three independent outputs can be used together for a total DC output of up to 45 volts at 2 amps. Externally controlled cutoff circuit automati cally protects against overloads, short circuits and personal injuries.
Pumps, Vacuum
Microscale Bell Jar and Vacuum Set
Safely conduct lab experiments involving vacuum and air pressure with our microscale bell jar and vacuum set. Expand a marshmallow, balloon, or shaving cream. Show that liquids boil at reduced pressure. Learn by experimentation that air has mass. Perform an experiment to actually calculate the density of air. This apparatus will help increase students’ understanding of air pressure and vacuum. Instruction and experiment booklet included. Bell jar diameter 7 cm; height 8.5 cm.
Vacuum Pump, Hand-Operated, Nalgene®
Easytouse pump made of highquality, corrosiveresistant polyvinyl chloride. Will quickly and easily maintain a vacuum of 25 inches of mercury and hold this level constant for 24 hours. A springloaded valve is provided so vacuum can easily be released without disconnecting the pump from the line. The vacuum pump nozzle fits 1⁄4" i.d. tubing with 2 feet of tubing provided with the pump. Gauge monitors vacuum in both centimeters and inches of mercury. Pump is completely sealed and is selflubricating. Finger grips provided in squeezetype handle. Intended for siphoning, filtration, and indirect fluid transfer.
Note: For bell jars and vacuum chambers, use AP1597 vacuum pump.
