Battery Jar, Flint Glass
Heavy-duty, flint glass jar. Flint glass is soft glass that cannot toler- ate high heat as can borosilicate glass. If you want a high temperature vessel, use a large size borosilicate glass beaker. Round battery jars have fire polished lip.
Beads, Solid
Often used as a packing material in a distillation column. More commonly used as inert boiling stones. Beads are borosilicate glass, 6 mm in diameter.

What Is Borosilicate Glass?
Borosilicate glass is a strong, heat-resistant, soda-lime glass that contains a minimum of 5% boric oxide. It has a low coeffi- cient of expansion and a very high resistance to chemical attack. Borosilicate glass can withstand continuous use at temperatures up to 482 °C. Common trade names for boro- silicate glass include Pyrex® and Kimax®.

Pyrex® Griffin Low Form Beaker, Graduated
Griffin-style, graduated, low-form beakers with spouts have silk-screened markings. Available in a variety of sizes, they are designed for low- volume applications. These beakers are made of clear borosilicate glass for durability, chemical, and temperature resistance, and high mechani- cal strength under harsh conditions, such as mechanical washing. The beakers have an extra-large marking area and meet American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM) E-960 standards.
