Combination Survey Set (FB1593)
Save with this all-inclusive set that contains all of the specimens in Sets A and B. This total collection illustrates an impressive diversity of life. NOTE: Availability of organisms often dictates the need to provide alternative representa- tive organisms. Based on availability, set will include at least 25 specimens.
Invertebrate Survey and Study Set
A survey set that includes all the materials necessary for a hands-on, discovery-oriented exploration. Well beyond the simple matching-game approach, this set will allow students to see and discover for themselves the similarities and differences that form the basis for invertebrate classification. Representatives are included from the major—and most commonly studied—phyla. Select specimens are packaged in safe, odorless preservative to ensure years of use.
Materials include one or more specimens from the following phyla— Porifera, Cnidarian, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Echinodermata and Arthropoda—13 specimens total. Also includes teacher’s guide, 15 illustrated student guides, activity sheets, review questions and 15 handheld magnifiers.
Vertebrate Survey and Study Set
By systematic observation and hands-on study, students will discover the distinguishing characteristics of the vertebrate groups. They will see and experience the similarities and differences that form the basis for vertebrate classification.
Includes seven individually bagged preserved vertebrates—lamprey, dogfish, perch, frog, chameleon (anole), sparrow and mouse—a comprehensive teacher’s guide with review questions, 15 illustrated student guides, activity sheets, the Golden Guide book Pond Life: Guide to the Study of Vertebrate Animals and 15 handheld magnifiers. All packaged in a durable storage container.
