Casting Frame
Making footwear and tire impressions in the field just got easier! Disposable casting frames hold the casting material in place until it hard- ens. Each frame consists of two strips of heavy-duty, moisture-resistant, corrugated material, which can be assembled in seconds using the adhe- sive tabs. The size of the frame can be adjusted to accommodate most shoe impressions by varying the position of the pieces. To make larger frames for casting tire tread impressions, simply fasten together multiple units. After your cast is dry, removal is easy since the casting material won’t stick to the frame—simply slide it off and throw it away—mess free! Works great with plaster or dental stone casting material!
Includes four disposable casting frames.
Forensics Glass Analysis
Glass Analysis Principles—
Forensic Laboratory Kit
By: The Flinn Staff
Crime scenes often contain broken glass from windows, cars, vases and numerous other glass items. Matching glass pieces with other glass pieces can reveal patterns that can help explain a criminal sequence. This activity utilizes safe chemicals and simulated glass to safely teach the principles of glass density analysis, a key technique used by criminalists. The flotation technique utilized in this lab will provide the hands-on experience students need to crystallize their general under- standing of density. Students will also appreciate the complexity of glass analysis in crime scene investigations.
Complete for 30 students working in pairs.

The Coroner’s Report—Urine and
Blood Analysis Laboratory Kit
By: The Flinn Staff
Transform your laboratory into a coroner’s lab! Students will act as pathologists by conducting an autopsy using simulated blood and urine samples from a prospective mystery corpse. Help students improve their valuable laboratory skills by performing tests to check for elevated levels of proteins and glucose as well as electrolyte ions. Use the test results and Pathology Evidence Chart to solve a mysterious death scenario. Kit includes detailed Instructor’s Notes, extensive background information, and reproducible student handouts.
Complete for 30 students working in pairs. Super Value Kit is complete for 5 classes of 30 students working in pairs.
