PSWORKSTM Photogate Timer
Finally—an inexpensive and accurate photogate timer for all your high-speed timing needs! Measure time to 0.0001 seconds with five function modes specif- ically used in the physics classroom: determine acceleration due to gravity and measure instantaneous and average speed of an object, the period of a pendulum and the frequency of a rotating object.
AP6998 | Photogate Timer | $332.55 AP7009 | Support Rods | $11.35
PSWORKSTM Pendulum
Demonstrate simple harmonic motion and the conservation of energy with this large pendulum. The string length and the mass can be changed to affect the period. Two pendulum bobs are provided. PSWORKSTM Support Stand is required, but not included. Photogate Timer is recommended to measure the period of the pendulum or
the speed of the pendulum bob.

PSWORKSTM Support Stand
This stand is required to support all Flinn PSWORKSTM equipment. Anodized aluminum pole stands 1 meter tall and has 19 holes spaced 50 mm apart. Solid hardwood base has three adjustable leveling feet. A wrench or pliers are needed to secure the pole to the base.

PSWORKSTM Conservation of Energy Tracks
Learn about kinetic energy using these curving conservation of energy tracks! Will the track with the steep incline produce a ball with more kinetic energy than the straight track? This activity illustrates that the kinetic energy of a ball at the bottom of a track is directly related to the potential energy it had at the top. When a ball drops a certain distance, it always has the same kinetic energy no matter what path it took to the bottom. PSWORKSTM Support Stand, or equivalent, is required.
