Ceramic Ring Magnets
Mega-Magnet
Become the owner of one very powerful magnet. Mega-Magnets are from salvaged computer parts and may have a chip or two in them, and they are as strong for their size as any magnet gets! Nine fun activities are included with each magnet. 11⁄23" L x 3⁄4" W x 1⁄2" H.
AP1738 I $20.35
Magnetic Field Demonstrator
Study magnetic fields without the mess of iron filings. The transparent acrylic case is full of fluid and fine iron filings and permanently sealed shut. Place a magnet beneath the demonstrator and watch the clear lines of magnetic force become visible through the clear sides of the chamber. 12 x 22 x 1 cm.
AP4748 I $31.90
Defying gravity? That’s what these magnets appear to be doing as they climb up
a pencil. What happens if you turn the magnets over? What does the magnetic field of a ring magnet look like—can you map it? These magnets will add a new dimension to your magnet studies. Magnets 38 mm in diameter, 8 mm thick with center hole. Two magnets per set.
AP4654 I $4.15
Student Magnetic Field Demonstrator
The economical price of this magnetic field demonstrator makes individual student experimentation possible. The iron filings are sealed in a circular plastic transparent case and respond to magnets placed on the flat outer surfaces. The magnetic force lines are then easily viewed and maintained while students record their results. Includes one bar magnet and one disc magnet.
Magnetizer
A flip of the switch produces a magnetic field that completely magnetizes soft steel and iron materials. The unit has two 2.5 cm2 holes, one polarized North and the other South. The holes are large enough to accept most bar or horseshoe magnets. The unit uses regular 115 V, 50/60 Hz power and comes with complete operating instructions. Three magnet keepers are provided for completing contact points for magnetizing uniquely shaped magnets.
