Tirrill Burners
Unlike a Bunsen burner, a Tirrill burner allows adjustment of both the air supply and the gas supply. Adjustable air ports regulate the air supply, and a brass needle valve regulates the gas supply. Accepts burner tubing with 3⁄8" i.d. (Catalog No. AP8286). Maximum temperature of flame can reach 1560 oC. Natural Gas model (AP1019) and Bottled Gas model (AP1020) are furnished with flame retainers while the Aritificial Gas model (AP1018) is not.

This Bunsen burner features adjustable gas and air inlets and a heavy base to prevent tipping. A brass threaded needle valve plus a rubber O-ring provides gas regulation while preventing gas leakage. The aluminum mixing tube with flame retainer comes equipped with adjustable vents for air regulation.
