This science kit shows the workings of a direct ethanol fuel cell and the principles behind the conversion of ethanol into electrical energy through oxidization. The process is easy and fun! Create an ethanol/water mix and then transfer the solution into the fuel cell where it will be converted into electrical energy to power a mini turbine. Kit features pH paper to show the change of property of the consumed ethanol fuel and an experimental CD guide. Contents include a fuel cell module, fuel solution container, fuel tank with lid, fan module, fan blade, silicon tubes, wires, clamp and syringes.
