Product Details

The Vernier Go Direct® Visible Spectrophotometer is designed for instructional chemistry and physics laboratories where accuracy, flexibility, and portability are essential. The instrument covers a wavelength range of 380–950 nm and supports absorbance, percent transmittance, emission, and raw lamp measurements for a wide range of spectroscopy experiments. Its high-quality optical bench provides strong accuracy and reproducibility, while the aluminum housing helps minimize temperature fluctuations during extended kinetics experiments. The spectrophotometer consists of a lamp with cuvette holder and a detector that are magnetically coupled, allowing the components to be separated for high-accuracy emission measurements using the Vernier Emissions Fiber accessory. Data collection and analysis are performed using Vernier Spectral Analysis®, Logger Pro®, or LabQuest® software via Bluetooth® wireless technology or USB, enabling use with tablets, laptops, Chromebooks™, and LabQuest® devices. This versatility makes the instrument well suited for Beer’s Law investigations, reaction rate studies, equilibrium experiments, enzyme kinetics, and emission analysis from flame tests or other light sources.
