Lab Safety 101: Part 1: Come with FLINN on a guided tour of the science department as we investigate common safety protocols and best-practices including safety contracts, chemical storage, how to deal with emergency situations such as fires, floods, chemical spills, orphan chemicals and more.
Lab Safety 101: Part 2: Part 2 of this safety series addresses common science department safety concerns including chemical storage issues, labelling, GHS, inventory controls, PPE usage and best practices in the lab and prep areas.

Elementary Science and STEM Safety K-8: We take you on a journey through the elementary science and STEM lab discussing increased safety and compliance. We look at the safe, proper use and storage of science equipment, apparatus, hand tools and more, in addition review checklists and things to watch for with your students.
What Does Science Teaching look like when I Get Back to my School Lab?
Come on a tour of the science department and get a feel for what it will look like when you get back into the school. We will explore some common prep room concerns as a result of an extended school closure, and we will look at how to handle science activities with students, how to disinfect lab equipment, apparatus, tools and materials, and how the instructional models will drive many of the decisions made for science teachers in the coming months. Teaching science and STEM in a COVID-19 environment will present some challenges and also some opportunities.
