Lyophilized bacteria in an easy-to-use self-contained rehydration and dispensing tube. Each tube contains two ampules, one containing freeze-dried bacteria and one containing sterile rehydration broth. Simply pinch the tube to break the internal ampules and let the freeze-dried organisms rehydrate, then dispense the rehydrated organisms into broth or onto agar through the dropper tip. The unique design eliminates several steps typically required for the rehydration of freeze-dried cultures, greatly reducing the risk of contamination. Refrigeration is recommended.
