The Bio-Rad Mini Centrifuge is a small, versatile centrifuge designed for general teaching lab use, quick spin-downs, microtube and PCR tube/strip centrifugation, and basic cell pelleting tasks. It comes with two interchangeable rotors — one for 1.5/2.0 mL microcentrifuge tubes (up to eight at a time) and one for 0.2 mL PCR tubes or 8-tube PCR strips (up to 32 individual tubes or 4 × 8-strip configuration). Tube adapters for 0.5/0.6 mL, 0.4/0.25 mL, and 0.2 mL tubes are included, giving flexibility for various tube sizes. The unit runs on 100–240 V (universal power adapter), so it can be used internationally. At maximum speed of 6,000 rpm (approx. 2,000 × g), it provides gentle centrifugation suitable for microfiltration, quick spin-downs, and small-volume sample prep in classroom or research settings. The compact footprint (15 × 15 × 12 cm) and light weight make it easy to store or move when not in use.
