The system performs spectral scans from 180 to 1050 nm using deuterium (UV) and tungsten (Vis) light sources and a 2048-element CMOS linear detector for high-resolution measurements. Students can measure intensity, absorbance, and transmittance with intuitive, software-based controls provided through PASCO Spectrometry Software. One-click light and dark calibration simplifies setup, while clear alignment markings ensure proper cuvette positioning. The spectrometer supports standard glass cuvettes or 12 mm test tubes and delivers fast scan times ranging from milliseconds to seconds depending on integration settings.
