The Bio-Rad PowerPac HV Power Supply is designed for high-voltage electrophoresis tasks — including DNA sequencing, isoelectric focusing (IEF), and other low-current or high-voltage applications. It offers a broad output range of 20–5,000 V, 0.01–500 mA, and up to 400 W, giving the flexibility to power multiple cells simultaneously (e.g., up to four DNA sequencing cells). The unit supports fully programmable runs with constant voltage, constant current, or constant power output, and features automatic crossover between modes to maintain stability. A built-in timer (1 min to 99 hr 59 min) enables precise control over run durations, and an optional temperature probe (if used) allows automatic gel temperature regulation — critical for sensitive protocols. The large, backlit graphics LCD displays all run parameters clearly. The PowerPac HV’s stackable case with adjustable viewing angle makes it lab-space friendly, especially in teaching labs or shared facilities.
