The Barnstead Mega-Pure® Water Still provides the highest quality distilled water for all laboratory applications, producing 1.4 liters per hour of exceptional-quality water suitable for chemical and biological procedures, including pyrogen-free water that meets U.S.P. specifications. The distillate delivers 1 MegaOhm resistance for excellent purity, while venting allows removal of volatile organics. Built-in automatic over-temperature protection and a sturdy metal housing ensure safe and reliable operation, and all-glass components allow simple cleaning with dilute hydrochloric acid without disassembly. Raw water, steam, and final distillate contact only Pyrex® glass and PTFE®, ensuring consistently high purity. The unit includes a 5-foot water inlet hose with connectors, a 4-foot drain hose, and requires a 1/8" male pipe thread connection at the water supply. It is ideal for normal to hard tap water (soft water may pit the heating element). A 6-liter polypropylene collection and storage bottle is included.
