Product Details
This compact, waterless spirometer allows lung capacity measurement without the mess or setup required by water displacement systems. A disposable mouthpiece is placed on the device, and the user simply exhales into the spirometer. The built-in analog gauge stops at maximum lung capacity and remains in place until reset, providing clear and repeatable results. The easy-to-read dial is calibrated from 0.0 to 7.0 L in precise 0.1-L increments, making it useful for comparing lung volumes among students and calculating average volume and variability between trials. It is especially effective for before-and-after exercise comparisons and other classroom-designed respiratory investigations. Trials can be completed much faster than with traditional water-based spirometers. Includes vital capacity charts and 50 disposable cardboard mouthpieces.
