Change water at least twice per week and monitor closely for mold growth.
Xenopus are robust amphibians, making them excellent classroom pets. They are a very unique family of frogs that lack a tongue and visible ear. These 5–12" frogs are multicolored on their back with blotches of olive gray or brown. They have the ability to change their appearance to match their background and can become dark, light or even mottled. Females are considerably larger, weighing 200 g, whereas the males only weigh around 60 g. A life span of 15 years makes them great for prolonged classroom use! Tadpoles sold as a unit of 50.
