These fumes are responsible for most of the corrosion damage in your acid storage area. To solve this problem, store hydrochloric acid bottle(s) in a tightly sealed plastic bag. Be sure to label the outside of the plastic bag since acid fumes will soon destroy the bottle label. Spray the label on the bottle with Krylon® plastic spray (AP1559) if you wish to preserve it.
