Try a Unit Kit from the Award-Winning IMSA Fusion STEM Program to get a glimpse into what the larger curriculum modules have to offer your classroom and your students.

Season creep is a phenomenon that results from increasing global temperatures as spring-like days come ever earlier on the calendar. Organisms adjust to this change at different rates. In this unit from the award-winning IMSA Fusion STEM program, students simulate an ecosystem composed of two species of flowers and two species of pollinating hummingbirds. As the flowering and feeding cycles drift apart over time, students quantify the effects of season creep on the model ecosystem to determine which species is at greatest risk.

Includes materials for 20 students, writable student content and access to detailed digital teacher content with professional development videos (1-year license). Grades 4–5.
