Product Details

The Bio-Rad Trans-Blot Turbo Transfer System is a ready-to-use semi-dry blotting instrument designed to streamline Western blot workflows and deliver high-efficiency protein transfers in as little as 3 minutes. The system accommodates 1–4 mini gels or 1–2 midi gels per run and includes the main unit base, two blotting cassettes, and a blot roller. Users assemble blotting sandwiches, slide a cassette into the instrument, and choose either pre-optimized or custom transfer protocols via intuitive controls. The Turbo method uses pre-soaked transfer packs (membrane, buffer-saturated paper, and buffer stack) to minimize setup time and eliminate gel equilibration. Because it uses a built-in platinized titanium anode and stainless-steel cathode, the system ensures high transfer efficiency and reproducibility with less hands-on time — a major advantage over traditional wet tank transfers. Ideal for teaching labs or research environments needing quick, reliable Western blots, the Trans-Blot Turbo improves throughput and reduces processing bottlenecks.
