The Bio-Rad Wide Mini-Sub Cell GT system provides increased sample capacity for horizontal agarose gel electrophoresis using a wide 15 cm gel platform.
The Bio-Rad Wide Mini-Sub Cell GT system is designed for high-capacity horizontal agarose gel electrophoresis in teaching and instructional laboratories. Featuring a wide 15 cm gel platform, the system accommodates significantly more samples than standard Mini-Sub Cell GT units, making it ideal for classroom and group-based workflows. The chamber includes a durable buffer tank, safety lid with attached cables, and a built-in leveling bubble to ensure proper gel alignment during setup. When used with 15- or 20-well combs, the wide format allows two to four times more sample capacity than standard Mini-Sub Cell GT systems, enabling multiple student teams to run samples simultaneously. Components are compatible with Bio-Rad agarose gel accessories and power supplies for flexible electrophoresis setups.

Fast and flexible, the Mini-Sub® cell GT cell is our most popular classroom gel box. The
Min-Sub® cell GT cell will hold either a 7 x 7 cm or a 7 x 10 cm gel tray. A 10 cm gel poured
with two 8-well combs accommodates two student teams at a time. The wide Mini-Sub® cell
GT cell provides a larger (15 cm) platform to handle more samples. Using the 15- or 20-well
combs, this cell has two to four times more sample capacity than the Mini-Sub® cell. Put a
