In this lab experience,
 students carry out an investigation to perform five reactions that cover different reaction types, look for evidence of a chemical reaction in each case and write the chemical equations for each. Editable, differentiated instructions range from a time-sensitive prescriptive lab to full open inquiry, and robust online videos and content—including a virtual reality (VR) simulation—help students prepare for and better understand the labs they’re conducting.

Outcomes: These four labs help students understand the various reaction types and despite the fact that there are so many different chemical reactions that can occur, most can be classified into five basic types of chemical reactions: combination reactions, decomposition reactions, single-replacement reactions, double-replacement reactions, and combustion reactions. With these labs, students will be able to get first hand experience with these reaction types!

Our 1-year option provides access to all digital content for one year plus lab supplies for a single class of 30 students. Our 3-year option extends access to digital content to three years, with a 30% discount on refill supply kits years 2 and 3.
