360Science™: Battery Challenge

Students build two voltaic cells (batteries). In this small scale experiment, two half-cells are connected internally using a salt bridge and connected externally using a metallic connector. The zinc half-cell is chosen as the reference standard, and all potentials are measured with respect to the zinc electrode.
