360Science™: Cell Membrane Permeability

In this lab, students carry out an investigation to detect molecule movement across a semipermeable phospholipid membrane using a single-celled eukaryotic organism. In this experiment, students will observe the movement of the pH sensitive vital stain, neutral red, across the phospholipid membranes of yeast cells.
