Concepts: Solid materials, volatility, conductivity, solubility, brittleness, melting point, boiling point
Outcomes: Students examine and compare the physical properties of five solid samples, including aluminum, silicon dioxide, sodium chloride, stearic acid, and sucrose. Students will observe and compare the color, appearance, volatility, solubility (in water and hexane), conductivity (as a solid and in aqueous solution), brittleness, and tendency to melt of these five solid samples
Our 1-year option provides access to all digital content for one year plus lab supplies for a single class of 30 students. Our 3-year option extends access to digital content to three years at a discount.
