360Science™: Radioactive Decay

In this lab students evaluate radioactive decay. This is done as a simulation since we are unable to study this phenomena directly in the lab. Starting with radon-222 they are asked to arrange radioactive decay cards in the order of the natural radioactive decay with either an alpha or beta particle between each element. Students then construct a graph to show their decay chain.
