How Big? How Tall?

As an organism’s size or volume increases, its mass increases proportionately. The problem with increasing an organism’s size is having a supporting structure large enough to support the mass. An elephant’s leg bones are like tree trunks. But, trees don’t have bones. How do they support themselves?
