Portable, electric sterilizer is a completely self-contained unit with 1650 watt immersion heating element, automatic thermostatic control, automatic release valve and pilot light. Sturdy cast-aluminum autoclave has a steam-tight cover with metal-to-metal seal (no rubber gaskets), safety valve, steam-release petcock, pressure gauge, an on-off switch and a 60-minute bell timer. Clamp locks prevent removal of the cover when pressure is present, and metal air release tubing gives quick exhaustion. At a temperature of 126 ºC only a small amount of water is needed to create the necessary steam. Equipped with three-wire grounded cord and plug for safety. Operates on 120 V, 50/60 Hz. Includes aluminum inner container with rack. An autoclave support base is available separately to protect your bench top.
