Plants in the Spotlight—
A Photosynthesis Investigation— Student Laboratory Kit
Explore whether plants prefer certain wave- lengths of light for photosynthesis and how environmental conditions affect the rate of photosynthesis. Using Hornwort, an aquatic plant, students experiment with variables to investigate changes in the rate of photosyn- thesis. Class data are pooled, graphed and analyzed. Includes materials for 30 students working in groups of three. Hornwort is available separately.

Plants and Pollutants—
The Grass Won't Grow—
Student Laboratory Kit
Student Laboratory Kit
What are pollutants to plants? How concen- trated do pollutants have to be to affect plants? Students experiment with differ-
ent types of chemicals on radish seeds
and discover answers to these questions. Teacher Notes, reproducible student handouts and all necessary chemicals and specialized equipment are provided.
FB1615 I $51.40
Why does grass grow in one area and not another? In this activity, seeds are planted in two different environments and the results of growth compared. Using the scientific method, students define the problem, make observations, develop a hypothesis, design and conduct an experiment, analyze data and draw a conclusion.
