     Bacteria Soil Ecology—Student Laboratory Kit
A great introduction to soil micro-ecology and how soil influences all multicellular organisms in an ecosystem. How much bacteria is in your soil? What is the purpose of bacteria in soil? Students will have the opportunity to create their own hypothe- ses, design and perform experiments and analyze and interpret data. Complete for a class of 24 students working in pairs.

Yeast and Mold Soil Ecology— Student Laboratory Kit
Discover more about soil ecology and the levels of yeast and mold in soil with this hands-on student laboratory kit! Students use PetrifilmTM strips and serial dilutions to quantify levels of yeast and mold in soil. Guided-inquiry activity allows students to create their own hypotheses, design and perform experiments and analyze and inter- pret data. Enough materials for 24 students.

Biofilms—Student Laboratory Kit
Understanding biofilms and developing ways to control them have enormous economic and health implications. In this hands-on kit, students treat microscope slides with different substances and immerse the slides into biofilm-rich media. The coated slides are then removed, stained and examined under a microscope to detect the presence of biofilm growth. The effect of different treatments on the growth of biofilms can then be compared and contrasted.

 Bacterial Pollution (Coliform)—Student Laboratory Kit
In this kit, students determine the presence or absence of coliform bacteria (indicative of the pres- ence of untreated sewage and potentially pathogenic bacteria) in water supplies by observ-
ing a dramatic color change
that occurs in a lactose broth medium. Kit includes 25 tubes
of lactose broth medium with chlorophenol red indicator, sterile transfer pipets and instructions. Complete for 25 student tests. A Super Value Kit is also available for 75 student tests.
