Neutralizer, Sodium Carbonate and
Calcium Hydroxide Mixture
A plastic pail containing a 25-lb mixture of sodium
carbonate and calcium hydroxide. This mixture is useful for neutral- izing an inorganic acid spill (hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric acids).
Broom, Spill Cleanup, Polypropylene
A great broom for your science laboratory—inert bristles won’t react with the chemicals in a spill. Our polypropylene broom with stiff bristles will allow you to easily sweep up your solid chemical spills or breakages.
Brush, Counter
Synthetic fiber brush is resistant to most chemicals. Length of brush portion 71⁄4". Fibers extend 17⁄8" from brush handle. Overall length 12".
Dustpan, Polypropylene
Chemical-resistant, polypropylene dustpan is perfect for cleaning up the remnants of a chemical spill or broken glassware. Dustpan has groove for broom attachment and folds down to floor for easier pickup.
Spill Mat, Laboratory
Protects lab and prep area work surfaces from spills, stains, and wear. Makes cleanup easy since the mat can simply be gathered up and disposed of—spill and all! Mat consists of a plastic-backed absor- bent paper. The absorbent upper layer traps water, dye, and corrosive chemical(s), but won’t allow liquids to soak through. The surface is ribbed to hold the lab vessel slightly above the surface. The plastic backing makes the mat non-skid. This mat material is 20" wide and is packed in a dispenser box containing a 50-foot roll. Pull the required length from the dispenser and, using scissors, cut off the amount you need.
