Two cylinders are available. AP8599 is a borosilicate glass cylinder with a pour spout and 700­mL capacity; 55 cm high x 5 cm wide. AP6752 is a clear PMP plastic cylinder with a pour spout and 600­mL capacity; 36 cm high x 5 cm wide.

Hydrometer Cylinder
1. The liquid and hydrometer should be at room temperature and clean prior to use.
2. Fill a tall cylinder about three­ fourths full of the liquid to be tested.
3. Slowly immerse the hydrometer in the liquid to a point just below where it naturally sinks.
4. Allow the liquid and hydrometer to come to rest.
5. Take the reading at the liquid surface level.
