Suitable for dispensing caustic solutions and most acids except perchlo- ric acid. The plastic pump attaches onto the screw neck of a standard 2.5-L acid bottle. All parts directly in contact with acid are chemical- resistant. A 100-mL bottle fits into a threaded socket on the side of the valve housing and serves as a pressure bulb to force liquid through the delivery spout. Flow can be stopped by pressing the relief valve on top of the pump. The entire pump can be disassembled for cleaning. Do not use plastic bottles with concentrated nitric acid.

Flinn aprons are constructed of top-quality acid- and chemical-resistant rubber sheeting. The fabric is flexible—not stiff! The edges of the garment are folded over and stitched. The neck loop is a cotton tape, and the ends have been sewn into the folded-over garment edge. A cross- stitch has been sewn into each of the four locations where cotton tapes (neck and waist) join the rubber sheeting. The weight specification for the rubberized fabric in these garments is 7.5 ounces per square yard.

These heavy-duty aprons are made exactly like the medium-duty aprons listed above except that the rubberized sheeting is at least 30 percent heavier. The weight specification for the heavy-duty aprons is 10 ounces per square yard. This specification is a reliable indicator of the apron’s durability and quality. These durable, chemical-resistant aprons afford excellent protection against chemical spills.
