Burners, Alcohol, continued
Alcohol Burner, Glass, 9-Sided
This nine-sided burner is convenient since it can be tilted and made to “fit” heating situations where a conventional burner will not work. Should this burner be jarred, the likelihood is that it will not tip. A metal snuffer cap and one wick are provided.
Alcohol Burner, Wickless
A safer alternative to the traditional alcohol burner! This wickless metal alcohol burner is unbreakable, tip-resistant, and fully leakproof. Sturdy chrome-plated steel tank has a screw top with a rubber gasket creat- ing a liquid-tight seal—even if set on its side, the burner will not leak. Holds up to 95 mL of alcohol and burns for over an hour. And what’s more—no more worry about replacement wicks or wicks that don’t fit. Uses a copper-plated torch instead of a wick for safety and even heat distribution. Comes with an aluminum snuffer cap, safety shield, and instruction manual. Use with our safety burner fuel—ethanol containing sodium salt—to make the flame more visible.
Microburner
Quickly do flame tests or heat solutions with this unique burner. A simple alcohol burner constructed of glass and plastic for your microscale lab. Microburner will fit securely into wells of a 24-well plate or a combination plate. At this price, you’ll want one for every student.
