Dialysis Funnel/Holder
Finally, a timesaving device that ends the difficulties of filling and suspending dialysis bags. The dialysis funnel/holder attaches to dialysis tubing with a rubber band and requires a separate tubing clamp or knot for the other end. Just add your fluid, snap the airtight lid closed and begin the experiment. The funnel/holder will accommodate tubing up to 45 mm flat-width and will attach to the rim of any appropriate vessel.
Double Thistle Tube, Osmosis Apparatus
Molecules diffuse through the semi-permeable membrane at the bottom of the double thistle tube. The thin column of the thistle tube magnifies the volume and color changes. The concept of osmosis will be clear to your students after they witness the osmotic changes using this apparatus.
This easy-to-use set includes a 16" double thistle tube, an aluminum thistle tube support stand, a battery jar, a semi-permeable membrane, and instructions.

The semipermeable membrane in the center of the model allows the passage of “small” molecules while keeping the “large” molecules trapped on one side of the membrane. Randomly shake the model and watch what happens! The dramatic increase in volume on one side will help students visualize difficult concepts of diffusion and membrane permeability. A real must when teaching diffusion!

Plasma Membrane Model

This engaging model brings the Fluid Mosaic
membrane model out of the textbook! Students can easily view the molecular structure of the phospholipid molecules, as well as the struc- ture of the membrane as a whole. Rock the model back and forth to demonstrate the fluid nature of the membrane.
The model includes a membrane protein. Move the protein around the membrane using a magnet to represent different types of membrane proteins, and to show that the structure of the membrane is not disrupted by the motion of the protein. Can be reused for years! A strong magnet is required and sold separately.
Animal Cell Model
