Shapes of Molecules Model Set
Help students visualize the shapes of molecules!
There is no better way to demonstrate to your students
the valence shell electron-pair repulsion theory. This eight-model collection set contains colorful, sturdy plastic atoms and pear-shaped bonds and lone pairs. Components are durable, easy to assemble, and are great for demonstration and display. Set contains sufficient parts to make the eight atomic models listed below:
Above models can also be modified to include additional shapes such as T-shaped, square planar, etc. Great for introductory through advanced chemistry classes. Instruction sheet and a plastic storage case are included.
The Alpha-Helix Model Kit
The perfect model to help students visualize the
alpha-helix structure of polypeptide chains. The chain
ascends counterclockwise forming a helix. Each set contains enough components to make 15 peptide linkages. The set includes:
• 30 carbon • 30 hydrogen • 15 oxygen
• 15 nitrogen • 15 Group “R” • 75 links
All materials, including assembly instructions, a link remover tool, and a stand, come supplied in a plastic storage case.
Design-Your-Own Custom Molecular Model Kit

Cubic Unit Cell Model Kit

Use this “super-size” model of the sodium chloride
crystal lattice to demonstrate the concept of the unit cell. Students will get a clear picture of the arrangement of ions in a face-centered unit cell, and will begin to understand the fractional contributions ions in differ- ent locations add to the total number of ions in the unit cell. Rearrange the easy-to-remove plastic spheres to create either the body-centered cubic unit cell or the simple cubic unit cell. A versatile tool for teaching crystal lattice structure!
