A carbon footprint is the amount of green- house gases, primarily carbon dioxide, released by energy-dependent activities
and processes. In this activity, students will analyze data from utility bills, modes of trans- portation and everyday activity contributions. The relative contributions of their activities will be graphed to explore ways to reduce emissions and their carbon footprint. AP7322 | $10.75
Students follow a carbon atom through the carbon cycle for insight into the ongoing process. The roll of a die at each “carbon cycle station” determines the next step: diffusing into water, being absorbed for photosynthesis or staying in place.
