This item can only be shipped to schools, museums and science centers
Students use the color change of starch with iodine to observe what molecules are able to diffuse across a cell membrane. Students create model cells using dialyses tubing and place different solutions inside the cell and in the surrounding environment. They then observe what happens to the cell and the surrounding solution after a few minutes.
Includes access to pre-lab videos, editable lab instructions, downloadable student handouts, detailed background information, safety information, teacher notes with answers to all questions and sample data, and teaching and lab tips.
