Easily demonstrate the Doppler effect and fundamental principles of sounds. Tie a string to the buzzer and spin the buzzer over your head. Students will clearly hear the Doppler effect as the buzzer moves toward them and then away from them. Battery and buzzer are secure so there is no worry of the battery disconnecting. An optional second demonstration may be performed with a vacuum pump and bell jar to show students that sounds do not exist in the vacuum of space.
