Students build a conductivity tester to determine whether various types of household objects, materials, and substances are electrical conductors or insulators. The conductivity tester consists of a simple electric circuit with a small LED, a button battery, and the appropriate electrical connections. Students will learn about electrical conductivity, conductors, insulators, and simple electrical circuits.
