With the Electrophorus Apparatus for physical science and physics, demonstrate laws of electrostatic induction and more. This is a safe and reliable charge transfer apparatus for your electrostatic experiments.
A safe and reliable charge transfer apparatus for your electrostatic experiments. Demonstrate laws of electrostatic induction, generate and store large electrostatic charges, and effectively transfer charges with this classic device. Simply rub the acrylic plate with fur or silk to build up a charge. Then holding the insulated handle, induce a charge from the acrylic plate onto the aluminum disk. The disk can then be moved to transfer the charge to an electrostatic device, such as an electroscope or Leyden jar. The built-up charge will continue on the acrylic plate so you can return with the aluminum disk repeatedly without recharging the plate.
Apparatus includes aluminum disk with insulated handle, charging plate and complete instructions. Charging materials not included.
